'The first images from the IsatPhone Professional happen to be released to coincide using the announcement of the very first call to be made using the new global handheld telephone.
The IsatPhone Pro, which will probably be launched in June, will provide satellite telephony - with Bluetooth for hands-free use - along with voicemail, SMS text and email messaging. Area data will also be available to the user to look up or send inside a text message.
"The very first call is really a substantial milestone, and we're pleased with the voice high quality in initial tests," said Helen Stalker, commercial director of Global Satellite Phone Services at Inmarsat.
